WHO IS PAYING FOR ELECTIONS NOW?

Who is paying for election campaigns now?

Here are two short videos about fundraising in Washington.
Below that are links where you can see who is paying for the re-election campaigns of your Members of Congress.

Who is giving money to your elected officials' campaigns?

You are represented in Washington by two United States Senators and one member of the House of Representatives

Here is a way to see where they are getting their money. Keep in mind that some money may be passed through a political party or a PAC or the campaign committee of another elected official before being passed on to your elected official. In those cases, it is all but impossible to know for certain money actually came from.

To see pages summarizing the money received by an elected official or candidate, go to OpenSecrets.org. a web site operated by The Center for Responsive Politics. On the upper right side of that page, choose "Member" or "Candidate" in the top box, then type in your elected official's name, below.

To dig a little deeper and learn which PACs and individuals are sending money to your elected officials' campaigns, visit this Federal Election Commission page . Fill-in their "Name", then just click "Send Query" at the bottom. Once you get to their page, you can click "Non-Party (e.g. PACs) or Other Committees" to see PAC information and "Individual Contributions" to see money from individuals.
